THIDA has already obtained written recognition from certification bodies in several countries, including the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM), the Halal Product Assurance Agency of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs (BPJPH), and the Majlis Ugama Islam Singapura (MUIS).

The World Halal Food Council (WHFC) was founded in 1999 and later renamed WHC. In 2011, it reverted to its original name, WHFC. Membership requires recognition by Indonesia's Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). Our association holds WHFC membership (membership certificate). Since 2011, Mr. Chao Xihong, our Executive Director and former Deputy Secretary-General, has been elected as the WHFC Chairman for the Asia region and has served in this position to date.
